AUCTION SALE
GOOD PRICES IN PAEROA DEMAND FOR DOMESTIC WARE George Shepherd and Co., Auctioneers, have pleasure in reporting on the sale held in Paeroa in conjunction with R. Cobbe and Co., of Tauranga. It was the initial sale in this district, which comprised all the plant, kitchen furniture and fittings of the Blue Bird Dining Rooms and the sale proved an outstanding success.
Although the market for a large amount of the offering was practically restricted to the trade the accommodation was scarcely sufficient to hold the crowd that gathered. Everything found buyers and the keen competition was not limited to articles of domestic use, but included the plant for which buyers were present from towns as far distant as Hamilton. It was gratifying to see everything listed, no matter whether it was a small article or a higher priced one, sell under animated competition. It might be of interest that the tefiigerator, two sets ox scales, cash register,' radio, two electric stoves and a considerable amount of other large plant, as well as cutlery and general utensils of every description, were among the things sold. To-day the auction market is the most popular and profitable me hod of disposing of used goods and anyone entertaining the idea of a clearance sale is invited to communica e with . George Shepherd, Phone 231, Waihi. —Advt.
