FIRE BRIGADE DANCE
FUNCTION IN COROMANDEL EVENING IN ST. GEORGE’S HALL The annual social and dance rim by the Coromandel Volunteer Fire Brigade was held in St. George’s Hall, Coromandel, on Friday, August 13. The attendance left much to be desired and did not show the support from the public that could be expected. The music was supplied by Mrs E.. M. Lucas and Lee Perfect, and extras were played by Miss I. G. Pepper. Mr R. Martin acted as M.C. A splendid supper was served and very much enjoyed by all. During the evening Miss Jean McLellan gave two songs which were very much appreciated. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Mrs Compton and Mr Eide, and a ladies’ excuse me spot waltz was won by Mrs W. Turner and Mr G. McNeil. Dancing continued until 1 a.m.
