REHABILITATION

COROMANDEL COMMITTEE PERSONNEL ANNOUNCED MR A. R. KING AS SECRETARY Advice of the personnel of the Coromandel Rehabilitation Committee is contained in the following letter which Mr J. Thorn, M.P. for Thames has received from the Rehabilitation Board, Wellington. The letter reads as under:— “This is to follow up with you the question of the establishment of a local Rehabilitation Committee at Coromandel, a subject about which the board has already been in touch with you. I am pleased to advise that the board has now approved of the appointment of a committee constituted as follows:— Local authorities representative.— Mr E. M. Minifie, Coroglen. Returned Services Association representative.—Mr F. H. McCall, Amodeo Bay. Farmer or business interests.—Mr W. Hamilton, Whenuakite. Organised labour representative.— Mr J. F. McNeill, of Coromandel. W.W.S.A. representative.—Mrs P. J. Murphy, Coromandel. Mr Thorn a Member “In addition you will of course as member for the district be a membei' of the committee ex officio. “For your information, I would advise that Mr A. R. King, Postmaster at Coromandel, will act as secretary of the committee. He will be instructed formally to advise the various members of the committee of their . appointment and to. get into touch wih you with a view to fixing a suitable time and place for the first meeting of the committee. It is desired, of course, that the committee meet as soon as possible, and the board would be pleased if you could attend the first meeting.

“I would like to thank you for the assistance given by you in securing and forwarding nominations of members of the committee and might I express the hope that the Coromandel committee will prove an active and in every way successful organisation in the field of local rehabilitation.
