ROAD TO BE METALLED LENGTH AT WAIKAWAU At the August meeting of the Coromandel County Council a letter was received from Mr J. Thorn, M.P., enclosing a letter from the Minister of Public Works which stated that the Minister had approved a grant to enable the metalling on Waikawau Beach road to be completed. It was proposed by Cr. A. Denize and seconded by Cr. C. C. Rae, “That the council personally thank Mr Thorn for his efforts in the matter- of finalising the construction of the Waikawau Beach road.”—'Carried.
