“ SAINT MEETS THE TIGER ” PROGRAMME AT REGENT “HELLZAPOPPIN” TO SHOW Hailed as the most thrilling and colourful of the superb “Saint” stories based on Leslie Charteris’ internationally famous novels, “The Saint Meets the Tiger,” with Hugh Sinclair again portraying the title role, will show at the Regent Theatre on Thursday and Friday. Produced by William Sistrom, “The Saint Meets the Tiger,” was directed by Paul Stein. The Charteris novel, “Meet The Tiger,” was adapted for the screen by Leslie Arliss, Wolfgang Wilhelm and James Seymour. “Hellzapoppin,” modestly described the greatest smash-bang, eye-filling, tune-filled show to hit New York in a dozen years, has reached the screen with the original stars, Olsen and Johnson, plus Martha Raye, Hugh Herbert, Mischa Auer, Jane Frazee and Robert Paige. The picture will also show at the Regent Theatre on Thursday and Friday. Released by Universal, the Jules Levey Mayfair production boasts many new song hits composed for the picture. Singing and dancing choruses together with a score of unexpected innovations are declared to surpass the many highlights of the great Broadway success. Incdluded in the tune list are “Watch The Birdie,” sung by Martha Raye and The Six Hits, “You Were There,” sung by Jane Frazee and chorus', “Heaven For Two,” warbled by Jane Frazee and Robert Paige and the Martha Raye number, “What Kind of Love ns This.” FINALLY TO-NIGHT “THE BIG BLOCKADE” \ . “ The Big Blockade” will show. finally to-night at the Regent Theatre.
