The Minister in Charge of Police Department, Hon. P. C. Webb, wrote as under: — “In reply to your letter of May 27 relating to the proposed new police station at Kerepeehi, I have to inform' you that the question of erecting the station at Ngatea instead of Kerepeehi has been given the fullest consideration and it has been decided to build at Kerepeehi, which is considered the jnore suitable.” The clerk; Mr E. A. Mahoney, pointed out that Kerepeehi was right on the fringe of the police area. The chairman, Mr C. W. Parfitt, said that he thought the council should protest at the decision and ask that no action be taken in the meantime. The chairman’s suggestion was adopted.
