JERSEY BREEDERS MEET

ANNUAL MEETING IN PAEROA OFFICERS FOR YEAR ELECTED The annual meeting of the Thames Valley Jersey Breeders’ Club was held in the Commercial Hotel, Paeroa, on Saturday morning, the president, Mr W. H. Cheale, presiding over a small attendance. The election of officers, resulted:— President, Mi' W. Cheale; vice-presi-dents, Messrs iB. E. Veale, J. A. Lowry, C. Townshend; executive committee, president, secretary, Messrs iS. E. Hall, E. Hoffman, H. Edwards, Geo. Buchanan and B. E. Veale; secretary and treasurer, Mr Chas. Townshend; auditor, Mr J. H. Bartlett. It was arranged to hold the club’s annual bull fair on October 1 with nominations closing on August 30. It was agreed that two field days be held during the coming season if conditions are favourable, the first at Mr Chas. Townshend’s Bellwin Stud at Awaiti in November and the second at Mrs R. Irvine’s Illawarra Stud, Waihi, in February. A motion of condolence was passed to the relatives of the late Mr A. Rogers, of Kati Kati. Votes of thanks were passed to Mr E. P. Fathers for use of the meeting room and fire and tb the press forpublicity.
