COMPETITION FOR STORE PIGS VALUES AT MORRINSVILLE SALE The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report that at their weekly stock sale held at Morrinsville on Friday a small yarding of fat sheep sold under good competition at full late rates., Store lambs also sold well,, but breeding ewes were again dull of sale. A small entry of fat cows sold freely at recent high levels. Boner cows were yarded in average numbers and also sold readily. A good offering of empty Jersey heifers met a better demand and values improved on last sale. A full yarding of dairy cattle, comprising mostly heifers was penned. Competition for good quality cattle close to profit was keen and last week’s advanced rates were fully maintained. There was a light yarding of fat •pigs with a large entry of stores and weaners. Competition for all classes was very steady, values remaining on a par with other centres. Quotations: — Sheep.—Prime heavy fat lambs, 26s to 28s; prime fat lambs, 23s 6d to 255; medium, 21s to' 22s ,-6d; light, 17s to 19s 6d; medium w.f. lambs, 13s 6d to 15s; smaller, 8s to 12s; 2-th. ewes to 27s 10 d; s.m. ewes, 16s to 20s.
