VALLEY POWER BOARD WATERHEATERS DISCONNECTED “The total number of consumers connected to the board’s mains is 12,752,” reported the manager, Mr R. Sprague, to Tuesday’s meetin gof the Thames Valley Electric Power Board. The ’ report added: — “Twenty-two lighting and heating consumers were connected for the two months, also 13 motors on. farms, all of which were pumping motors. Fourteen milking motors were discon- v nected, due to the appeal to conserve electricity during the present shortage. These will be connected free of charge when the farmers start milking. “There are now connected and operating 3550 ranges, 6355 waterheaters, 962 industrial and 7257 motors on farms, of which 3479 are milking motors. The board is connecting ail milking, pump and farm motors wherever possible. “Twenty-nine consumers had additional lighting and heating connections made during the period.
