SMALL YARDING
SALE HELD AT WHITIANGA ADVANCE SHOWN IN PRICES The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company report that at their monthly sale, held at Whitianga on Monday, June 14, the smallest yarding for some time was shown. However, competition for the stock yarded was keen and prices obtained were in advance of those ruling at outside sales. Mr Clothier of Hamilton was the auctioneer. Quotations: Light fat Jersey cows, £4 10s to £4 18s; medium cows, £4 to £4 ss; boner cows, £3 10s to £3 15s; light boner cows, £2 15s to £3 ss. Extra choice Jersey heifers, close to profit, to £10; good quality Jersey heifers, July-August calvers, £7 10s to £8 10s; small Jersey heifers, r.w.b., £6 to £7; small heifers, r.w.b., £4 to £4 Bs. / Light potter bulls, £3 10s to £4 10s.
