DANGER TO MOTORISTS
WILLOWS ON MAIN HIGHWAY
Contending that they were a potential source of danger to traffic, Traffic Inspector R. B. Doggett, in his report to last Wednesday’s mr ' • if the Ohinemuri County CountA . r?c 1 that the willows at the corne. r . ' r.e Te Aroha-Paeroa Main Highway and Waitaki road should be cut down or grubbed out. The inspector’s report to the borough read as under:— “It is noticed that a group of willows at the comer of the Te ArohaPaeroa Main Highway and Waitaki road has grown to such a height as to obscure the view of motorists proceeding from Te Aroha to Paeroa. This growth, together with other physical featuree, constitutes a potential source of danger to motorists approaching the corner and I would suggest that the growth be cut down or grubbed out. The matter was left in the hands of the engineer, Mr L. E. Shaw, and Mr J. J. Shallue.
