MR PRICE ELECTED
CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD THAMES VALLEY POWER ANNUAL MEETING IN TE AROHA At the annual meeting, of the Thames Valley Electric Power Board held in Te Aroha on Tuesday, Mr_J. Price of Matamata, the sitting chairman, was re-elected chairman of the board for the ensuing year. When the manager, ’Mr R. S. Sprague, took the chair ‘ and called for nominations, Mr J. F. Mayn moved and Mr T. A. Barrett seconded that Mr J. Price be appointed chairman. There being no other nominations Mr Price was declared elected. On the motion of Mr P. R. Hawke, seconded by Mr H. L. Boughton, Mr J. F. Mayn was elected deputy chairman. The chairman’s honorarium was fixed at the same figure as last year, namely £2OO. The meeting was attended by Messrs J. Price (in the chair), H. M. Corbett, C. C. Webb, T. A. Barrett, J. Pohlen, J. F. Mayn, P. R. Hawke, W. C. Kennedy, H. L. Boughton, the manager, Mr R. Sprague and the chief engineer, Mr N. G. McLeod. Leave of absence was granted Messrs W. S. Goosman, H. R. Bush, A. McCollum.
