BOARD CHAIRMAN
MR SUTHERLAND RE-ELECTED SHOWN OUTSTANDING ABILITY Mr A. S. Sutherland, M.P., who represents Waikato areas on tne Auckland Harbour Board, was unanimously re-elected chairman of the board this week. Mr Sutherland succeded the late Mr Hendy Luke as chairman last January. The deputychairman, Mr J. H. Frater, was also re-elected. In moving Mr Sutherland’s reelection Mr Frater said the chairman had shown outstanding ability in handling the board’s affairs during a difficult period. Mr J. !B. Donald, who seconded the motion, and other members spoke in like strain. The chairman’s honorarium was fixed at £2OO a -year. .
