STORE AND WEANER PIGS STOCK 'SALE HELD AT WAIHOU The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report that at their Waihou stock sale held last Thursday a medium entry of fat cows came forward. Bidding was free for young killable cows with values firm. A full yarding of boner and store cows was penned, and here also values were fully maintained. A full yarding of dairy cattle, including the advertised herd, came forward. Good quality young cows and heifers sold readily but old and backward cows were not wanted.

A medium yarding of fat pigs and a light entry of stores and weaners was penned. The bulk of the entry in the fat section consisted mostly of bacon, porkers and -baconers remaining firm at recent rates. Stores and weaners were in demand, and a good sale resulted. Quotations: — Sheep.—Medium fat lambs, 235; good store lambs, 14s.
