SPIRITED BIDDING
DAIRY STOCK IN KEEN DEMAND GOOD SALE AT MORRINSVILLE The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, reports that at. their weekly stock sale held at Morrinsville on Friday a medium yarding of fat and store lambs met with steady competition, and sold at late rates. A few pens of breeding ewes , were dull of sale.
A smaller offering of beef was in keen demand and sold freely at full late rates. A good yarding of boner cows met with' good competition and sold freely. A limited demand existed for the offering of store cattle which, however, changed hands at slightly lower values. Empty twoyear andi yearling Jersey heifers changed hands at satisfactory prices. Fully the advertised entry of just on 400 dairy cattle came forward. Competition for good -young cows, calving early, was keen, and maintained. Well-grown early-calv-ing heifers were also in demand and sold readily, but small and backward sorts were not keenly sought. The advertised entry of heifers on ac-' count of Mr R. C. Saxon attracted
spirited bidding and realised the satisfactory average of just on £ll. A medium entry and store pigs, baconers and porkers remained firm.
