problem on peninsula FARMERS WANT AMMUNITION The loss of sheep and lambs on the Coromandel Peninsula through the activities of wild pigs was discussed at the May meeting of the Thames District Council of Primary Proauction. Mr Curtis (Colville) asked the council’s support to endeavour to procure a supply of shotgun cartridges for the use of sheep farmers on the Coromandel Peninsula for killing of wild pigs which were proving a serious menace to sheep and lambs in particular.
