DANCE RECITAL
PUPILS OF MISS J. McINNES AN ENJOYABLE EVENING There was a large attendance of parents and friends to witness a dance recital held in the Palish Hall, Paeroa, recently by the pupils of Miss J. Mclnnes. The juvenile dancing was of a very high standard as were several songs which were also rendered. At the conclusion of the performance by the pupils supper was served and a dance for the adults was continued until midnight. Items rendered were: Highland Fling, M. Young, C, Mathieson, V. Saunders, V. Scott, L. McLee, N. Kilgour, L. Morrison; trio tap, ,E. Tilsley, C. Fenelle, D. Reilly; song, “Rose of No Man’s Land, L. McKee; Sword Dance, Miss J. Mclnnes, C. Mathieson, V. Saunders; Highland Reel, M. Young, C. Mathieson, V. Saunders, A. Saunders; songs, “Smilin’ Thru” and “Danny Boy,” Miss J. Grant; Irish Jig, M. Young, C. Mathieson, V. .Saunders, N.’ Kilgour; reading, Mrs Murdoch; waltz tap, M. Young, C. Mathieson, N. Kilgour, L. Morrison, E. Tilsley, C. Fenelle, V. Saunders, A. Saunders; Sailors’ Trio, M. Young, V. Scott, V. Saunders; songs, “Brown Bird Singng” and “Down Here,” Miss Ballard (Morrinsville); tap and song, -C. Mathieson and V. Saunders; Sean Truibhas, M. Young; closing verse, all the pupils. This was followed by the New Zealand National Anthem. Mrs N. Good was the pianist and Mr Allan' Pearson supplied the extras. Mr W. R. Pirie was the M.C.
