GIFT PARCELS

PAEROA TO PROVIDE 120 .SUBSCRIPTION LISTS -OPENED That Paeroa was expected to supply 120 gift parcels for the Armed Forces by the end of June is disclosed in a letter received from the Auckland Provincial Patriotic Council by the Paeroa District Patriotic Committee. Each parcel will cost approximately 15s and it has been decided to open subscription lists at the Paeroa Borough Council, Ohinemuri County Council and Gazette Offices. All donations will be acknowledged through the Gazette.

The Mayor, Mr Edwin Edwards, expressed the opinion that funds would .be readily forthcoming for the purpose of providing gift parcels for the soldiers, sailors . and airmen serving overseas, the total sum required on this occasion being approximately £9O.
