MISSING ON OPERATIONS SERGEANT ALFRED CRIDGE ■Sergeant Alfred Cridge, reported as missing on operations, is the elder son of Mr and Mrs A. Cridge, of William street, Paeroa. Born at Morrinsville twenty-two years ago, Sergeant Cridge was educated at the Paeroa District High School and prior to his enlistment was employed by Wallace Supplies, Ltd., at Paeroa. fee took a prominent part in local athletics, distinguishing himself as a cyclist. He was trained "in New Zealand and Canada and for the last year was stationed in England.
