Mrs C. S. A. Geard was appointed assessor county for a term of three years at the March meeting of the Coromandel County Council. Mr and Mrs Frank Matthews, of Mt. Eden, Auckland, are spending a vacation with Mrs Tiernan at Te Kouma Bay.
Mr and Mrs A. McLeod, of Mercury Bay, are visiting Auckland and Wark worth.
Mr Kelsey, of Whitianga, is paying a business trip to Hamilton.
Mrs C. Lowe has returned to Mercury Bay after a holiday in Auckland. Mrs Chadban, of Mt. Maunganui, is holidaying at Whitianga, Mercury Bay.
Mr J. W. Jones, of Wellington, has returned to the Capital after a pleasant holiday at Mercury Bay. Mr R. Smith, of Whitianga, is at present in Tauranga. Mrs Greig, together with little Kristen, of Auckland, are holidaying at the residence of Mrs R. Smith, Buffalo Beach, Whitianga. Flying-officer and Mrs J. S. Knoblock, of Waipawa. have been the guests of Mr and Mrs Rose, Mercury Bay. Mr A. Creed has been visiting his home-town, Wihtianga. Mrs N. Wells, together with little Renn and baby Christine Heald, have returned to Mercury Bay after a holiday in the “Queen City.” Donald Brooking, of Palmerston North, has been visiting his mother, Mrs Colquhoun, Mercury Bay. Mr and Mrs Clough - family who have ibeen the guests of Mr and Mrs Chaney, Mercury Bay, have returned to Auckland. Mrs H. Gordon and her young family have returned to Mercury Bay after spending a week with friends in Thames. Mrs W. Jackson and her little daughter Heather, of Auckland, have returned to the Queen City after spending, a holiday with Mrs M. Creed, Whitianga. Mrs F. Anderson and family who have been holidaying with Mrs M. Creed, Mercury Bay, have returned to their home.
Abie-Seaman A. Thompson has been spending a holiday with Mr and Mrs C. A. McCall, of Papa Aroha.
Messrs G. and A. Coxhead and R. Hutchinson, of Hauraki Plains, and Mr Perry, of Miranda, have been spending a long week-end at Papa Aroha as the guests of Mr and Mrs C. A. McCall. They were fishing enthusiasts and were successful in landing a very good catch during the week-end.
Miss Coralene Fletcher is spending a few days’ holiday in Coromandel and is the guest, of Mrs Lucas, Tiki road.
