FAREWELL TO TEACHERS ‘FUNCTION AT KEREPEEHI The residents of Kerepeehi gathered together last Thursday evening to bid farewell to Mr Sansbury,. head teacher, and Miss Lilley, infant mistress, of the Kerepeehi school. In presenting Mr and Mrs Salisbury with an electric kettle and cheque and Miss Lilley with a reading lamp, Mr Jordan expressed the regret of the people at losing two such valuably teachers and such a capable helper of local affairs as Mrs Sansbury,

In reply, Miss Lilley thanked Mr Jordan for his kind remarks and said that she had had two very happy years in Kerepeehi. Mr Sansbury thanked the people for their gifts which would be long treasured as momentos of five years spent very happily in- the district. The evening, closed with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.” Music was supplied for the dancing by Dan Fisher’s Orchestra and extras were played by Mrs P. Innis and Miss J. Hayes. Mr V.
