SECOND GAMES CONCLUDED.

The second matches of the Hauraki Plains cricket competition were completed on Saturday in fine weather.

The feature of the day’s play was the collapse of the Kopuarahi team, which, after making 134 runs against Waitakaruru on the previous Saturday was dismissed for 12, of which C. Barker, a 14-year-old boy, made 11. A. Kenny bowled seven men and caught one. Waitakaruru made 49, so the result of the match was Kopuarahi 146, Waitakaruru 73. Kaihere added 98 runs to its first innings total of 59, and so won by 33 runs from Pipiroa, which team made 61 and 63 in the two innings. The Ngatea v.
