REGIMENTAL SHOOT.
o COMMENCEMENT AT WAIHI. FINE DAY FOR OPENING. The Hauraki regimental rifle meeting commenced at Waihi yesterday with 160 competitors, totalling 750 entries in the various events. Yesterday the weather in the morning was very bad, but just after noon it cleared, with the result that good shooting cohditions held until after the day’s events were shot off. Captain G. Dittmer, M.C., N.Z.S.C., is in command. There were 50 entrants under canvas at the range last night, with the balance expected today. No matches will be actually decided until to-morrow, when all the finals will be shot off.
