GOLDFIELDS ASSOCIATION.

At the annual meeting of delegates of the Goldfields Bowling Association held in Paeroa the new champion of champions compettiion, as inaugurated by the centre, was approved.

It was resolved that a champion singles tournament be held in March at Paeroa among the affiliated clubs of the association, also that in, future each winner of the Goldfields Stars receive a button for every win, the challenging team to pay one shilling each towards the cost of same. The first round for the Goldfields Stars will be played on November 9 between Matamata (holders) and Morrinsville.

Several members of the Paeroa Bowling Club attended the official opening of the Hikutaia and Waikino clubs on Saturday. At the local green a roll-up game was played.
