VALEDICTORY.
MISS K. V. O’GRADY. Friday last being Miss K. V. O’Grady’s final day at the local school after having occupied the position of infant mistress for four years, several* presentations were made to her. Among the presentations was a hat box from the teaching staff and Mrs Taylor, a set of crystal dishes from the pupils in the upper school who had once been pupils of Miss O’Grady’s, and many presents from her present pupils. In making the presentation on behalf of the teachers the headmaster, Mr G. H. Taylor, referred to the great help Miss O’Grady had been to the school, and to the high esteem in which she was held, not only by the teachers and the pupils, but by the residents of Paeroa as well. In conclusion Mr Taylor expressed the hope that in her new sphere at Mt. Albert School she would have a happy and prosperous future.
