SUBSCRIBERS IN PAEROA.

INCREASE OF 30 IN SIX MONTHS.

As another sign of Paeroa’s growth the figures for the subscribers on the town’s telephone exchange may be taken as a a guide. j On March 31, 1927, the subscribers totalled 233, on the same date, 1928, 253, and on September 30, 1929, 273. Thus in the latter’ six months the figures increased by 20, the same increase as previously took place in twelve months. Arrangements .have now been concluded for the wiring up of ten settlers on the Peka Peka Road, so that the actual increase for the six months wilt be 30, bringing the total number of subscribers, of the Paeroa exchange up to 283. .
