THE PAEROA CLUB. LADIES V. MEN. The match played at the local golf links on Saturday between ladies and men resulted in a win for the latter by 9 matches to 4. The individual matches resulted as follows :— Mrs Bray beat H. Bray, 3 and 2; Miss G. Gibb lost to Miller, 1 up; Miss Wblmsley lost to Moresby, 4 and 3; Miss Thorp lost to Surrey, 4 and 3; Miss Tierney beat Lee, 4 and 2; Miss Gibb lost to Ward, 4 and 3 ; Mrs Hubbard lost to Carden, 4 and 3 ; Miss M. Thorp lost to Steedman, 4 and 3; Miss Argali beat Pellow, 2 up : Miss M. Surrey lost to Clay, 4 and 3 , Miss J. Buchanan lost to Priestley, 3 and 1 ; Miss Ellis beat Jupp, 1 up; Mrs Dale lost to Hutchinson, 5 and 4. The flag match for fivst-year players was won by Miss Forrest, whd brought the flag to .the 17th green. NEXT SATURDAY’S PLAY. Next Saturday the Waihi Club members will be visiting the local links to play a match against the Paeroa Club. The match will start at 1.30 p.m. sharp. The local representatives will be picked from the following :— Ladies : Mrs Bray, Misses Gibb, G. Gibb, Tierney, Thorp, M. Thorp, Walmsley, Ellis, and Argyll. Men : Bray, Hollis, Miller, Moresby, Surrey, Carden, Steedman, Hubbard, Thorp, Lee, Pellow. Jupp, and Dr. Davis.
