ACCIDENT AT WHARF.

SAILOR INJURED. SEVERE SCALP WOUND. While discharging cargo at the Puke wharf this morning an ablebodied seasan from the s.s. Taniwha, H. Houtern, sustained severe scalp wounds through an oil barrel falling on his head.

Dr. Davis quickly arrived on the scene, and after stitching the wounds, which are not serious, ordered the seaman to Thames Hospital, where he was immediately conveyed by car for further treatment.
