CHILDREN’S BALL.
FANCY’ DRESS EVENING. THE PRIZEWINNERS. The children’s fancy dress ball held at the Anglican Parish Hall on Thursday evening last was a brilliant success. The vari-coloured dresses of the children blended in a most beautiful colour scheme, and the happy laughter of the dancers and merrymakers combined to make an occasion well worthy of remembrance. Prizes were won by the following children :—
Girls over 10, best fancy dress, Evelyn Lord, ballet girl; most original, Rewa Dickson, Buy British Goods. Boys over 10, best fancy fancy dress, Jack Forrest, pierrot; most original, Alex Lowry, cowboy. Girls under 10, best fancy dress, Betty Terry, rose ; most original, Audrey Wood, Christmas stocking. Boys under 10, best fancy dress, Stewart Tai- v boys, page ; most original, Desmond Farrell, Indian. Special prizes, the cousins Ena and Gertrude Farrell as the twins.
