PAEROA FIRM’S SUCCESS. GOLD AND SILVER MEDALS. The Waikato Winter Show was opened at Hamilton yesterday by the Hon. J. G. Cobbe, Minister of Industries and Commerce. A start was made with the judging of the many exhibits at the show. Competition was keen, and the standard of the home industries was excellent. Successes for Paeroa were won by Mr D. Leach, who with his ordinary every-day commercial loaf' won in. competition with a large number of entrants the gold medal awarded by the N.Z. Co-operative Dairy Co. for first place in the skim milk powder, own-made yeast, competition. Of the prizes donated by the Dominion Compressed Yeast Co., Ltd., Mr Leach secured the second. This is the first occasion this baker has entered his products at the show.
