PAEROA TEAMS AT KEREPEEHI ONE WIN AND ONE LOSS. The first games of the season were played at Kerepeehi on Saturday last, when Paeroa’s two teams made the trip to try conclusions with the'Kerepeehi teams. The heavy rain which had fallen during the previous few days made the ground somewhat heavy, but the playing conditions generally were good, and considering that it was the first game of the season, the players stood up to the test well. ; ; - , The games were fairly even. Paeroa A won by 3 goals to 2, but the B team suffered defeat by 2 to 0. The second half of the latter game was played in heavy rain, and the players were soaked. For Paeroa A V. Shand scored the three goals, M. Courtney and N. Fishci' each netting a goal for Kerepeehi. In the B team match the two goals for Kerepeehi were shot by D. Courtney and A. Green. , Mr L. Mahon, Paeroa, was referee.
