An average-s.ized yarding of cattle was offered at the N.Z: Loan and Mercantile Agency’s monthly s«le at Ngatea. yqsterflay, and the pric.es realised were equal to those prevailing lately. Few dairy cattle were penned. Best cows ami heifers brought up to £IQ 10s, and in-calf heifers from £4 to £5 ,15s. There was a poor deinand for calves, and t f hq best sold aft up to £2, others going at £1 10s. Bulls, sold at from £3 to £7 ss, according to condition. The best beef cows realised from £8 10s to £9 17s 6d, others from £7 to £8 ss, forward condition cows from £5 10s tb £6 15s, boners from £4 10s to £5 ss ; and others from £3 to £4', while aged and inferior: cows went as low as £2.
