SWIMMING.
MISS STOCK LEY’S VISIT. Keen interest Jias been taken in Mfes Stoc.kley’s visit to Paeroa during the last few days. At the swimming carnival held by the, Paeroa Amateur Swimming Club shq gave a dem.onst.rar tion and also took part in several events. She was loudly applauded by tire large gathering for the exhibition, she gave, particularly in the various styles of swimming.
At Mies Stockley’s invitation, on Friday afternoon the school children were given lessons in the art of swimming. Keen and attentive interest was taken by the children in the instruction, and it is certain that they will benefit groatly by the. lessons, given.
Miss Stocklejy was also present at the baths on Saturday afternoon, and again was pleased to give instruction to a number of children, and also adults.
During her stay in Paeroa Miss Stockley was the guest of Mr and! Mrs F. G. Williams. She left for Auckland by c ar yesterday afternoon.
