MONDAY’S SITTING. CASES DEALT WITH. At Monclay’s, sitting of the Paeroa Magistrate’s Court, Mr F W. Platts, S.M., presiding, judgment for plaintiff by default was given in the following cases C. W. Watts v. F. J. Goldsworthy, £35 4s 9d, costs £4 'ss 6d ; Paeroa Borough Council v. E. N. Davies, £2l 175,costs £4 5s 6d ; W. Fleming, and Son, Ltd., v. E. W. Martin, £9 19s lOd, Costs £1 14s 6d ; W. Fleming and Son, Ltd., v. Gerald Bennett, £4 17s 3d, costs £1 5s 6d ; Paeroa Borough Council v. F. iJ. Williams, £l6 12s 4d, costs £2 14s ; C. W. Watts v. Mrs M. Hepps, £2 13s 6d, costs £1 7s 6d, JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. C. N. O’Neill v. H. H. Stonell, £47 Bs. Debtoi- .was ordtered to pay £5 a month, in default three weeks’ imprison inept. H. W. Beale v. Mick Baggs, £26 7s. Debtor was order,ed to pay £1 a month, in default 14 days’ imprisonment. H. W. Beale v. Joe Baggs, £lO 14s 9d. Debtor to pay £1 a month, in default five days’ imprisonment. J. Bertelsen (Mr E. A. Perritt) claimed from J. F. Montague (Mr, W. J. King) the sum of. £5O which he had lent, with interest thereon from October 22, 1922; Montague counterclaimed for £B9 Is. 3d and £33 solicitor’s fees. Judgment was given for plaintiff for the full amount of claim, £5O with interest at; 7 per cent. down to the date of judgment. The magistrate stated that he was satisfied th*? claim for £B9 Is 3d made by Montague '3vas not owing, and that Montague would fail in respect of that item. The £33 claim was very obscured, and in the meantime he would withhold judgment until further details were received! fr.om Montague.
