PUBLIC WORKS MINISTER

VISIT TO THE DISTRICT. ITINERARY OF THE TOUR. The following, is the itinerary’ of th e Minister of Public Works, the Hon. E. A. Ransom, during his forthcoming tour of the Thames electorate :— Tuesday, March 19. —After having lunch and receiving deputations, at Ngatea, the Minister will proceed to Paeroa, where he will arrive at 4- p-m. and receive deputations during the, afternoon and evening. Wednesday, 20.—A visit will be paid to properties affected by the Waihou and Ohinemuri Rivers Improvement Scheme, and a visit will be made to Turua at 11 a.m. to receive deputations. After returning to Paeroa, the Minister will leave again at 2 p.m. on a private visit, returning the next evening.

Friday, 22.—The Minister will leave Paeroa at 8 a.m. for Waihi, where deputations will be received between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m., when he will proceed to Whangamata to receive deputations and open a bridge. After lunch, the journey to Thames will be commenced at 1.30 p.m., a visit being paid to Mr Littlejohn’s farjn at Hikutaia and, if possible to that of. Mr E. Murphy’s. The night will be' spent at Thames.

Saturday, 23.—Thames deputations will be received in the morning, after* which the Minister will attend thei Thames Trots, leaving about 3 p.m. for Mercury Bay, where Sunday will be spent. Monclay, 25. —At. 8 a.m. the Minister will leave Mercury Bay for CoromaiH del, where he expects to arrive at Ift n.m. After receiving, deputations; and inspecting roads, he will return to Coromandel for the night. Tuesday, 26. —Further roads will be inspected until lunch time, and at 2 p.m. the journey to Frankton will be, commenced to connect with the train to Wellington.
