HOCKEY.
PAEROA LADIES’ CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. At the; fifth annual meeting of the Paerqa Ladies’ Hockey Club held on Wednesday night Mr K. L- Sb’field presided over an attendance of 17 members. After the conclusion of routine business Mr A. M. Samuel, M.P., was re-elqcted patron, the Rev. W. G. H. Weadon was elected presidtent, and Mesdames Hayward and Epps,, and Messrs W. D. Nicholas and C. Menzies vice-pi’esidtmts. Miss M. Hartley was re-elected secretary, with Miss E. Hayward as assistant. Miss V. Shand, captain, was re-elected, and Misses BGiibb and C- Swann deputy-captains. It was dec.ided to affiliate with Thames and resign frbm the Piako Association, at the same time thanking them for their courtesy last, season.
A motion of thanks was passed to the president, the Rev. Weadon, for a cup presented by hiin to the| club, while a letter of thanks will be sent to last year’s president, Mr W. L. Lawrence.
