FORREST BUTTONS. NEW HOLDERS OF TROPHIES. On Tuesday night a strenuous battle was fougjht for the Forrest Buttons, a strong combination challenging the holders. At one time the challengers had a lead of 18 to 8, but by splendid play the holders gradually, amidst great excitement, crept up and reduced their defeat to a matter of only 3 points. The gpme resulted : Nield, Arnold, Forrest, Hale 21, v. Riddle, Knight, Ashcroft, Pye 19.

The pairs Competition was won by Miss Say and Gibb after a most interesting series of games.
