The list shows that thepe are three members of Cabinet who consider themselves farmers. The new Parliament is composed of 19 farmers, 8 barristers'and solicitors, 5 sheep farmers, '5 merchants, 4 journalists, 4 secretaries, 3 agents, 3 members of Parliament, 2 retired farmers, 2 contractors, 1 settler, 1 veterinary surgeon, 1 company director, 1 land agent, 1 lino,typist, 1 carrier, 1 printer, 1 honey bleeder, 1 baker, 1 motor-car proprietor, 1 enginedriver, 1 clerk, 1 accountant, 1 dentist, 1 manufacturer, 1 draper, 1 grocer, 1 minister, 1 waterside?-, 1 baronet, and 1 retired. There are 12 farmers and 1 retired farmer in the Ref.c.rm Party, and 6 farmers and 1 retired farmer, in the United Party. There are 3 sheep farmers in the; Reform Party and 2 Sjheep farmers in the United Party. In addition to the above-mentioned members there are four Maori members.
