GOOD RESULTS! ON PLAINS. HERD-TESTING FIGURES. During November a total of 71,032 c.ows were tested by the New Zealand Herd-testang, Association. Tjae averages, were 8861 b of milk, 4'.1 test, and 36.931 b fat. The figures for the; Haur.aki! Plains groups are as follows :— Ngatea.—Cows, 916; average milk, 8661 b; average test, 3.8; fat, 33.421 b. Highest herd, o£ 50' cows, averaged 43.461 b fat; highest cow in group, 811 b fat. Nether.ton.—Cows, 1226 ; average; milk, 7851 b ; average tesjt, 4.0 ; fat, 31.871 b. Highest herd, of 36 cows, averaged 45.441 b f at; highest cow in group, 701 b fat. Patetonga.—Cows, 680 ; average milk, 8831 b; average test, 4.1; fat, 36.251 b. Highest he?-d, of 35 cows, averaged 42.401 b fat; highest coyr in group, 921 b fat. Shelly Beach. —Cows, 306 ; average milk, 8351 b; test, 4.2; fat, 35.401 b. Highest herd, of 84 cows, averaged 37.961 b fat; highest cow in group, 631 b fat.
Turua. —Cows, 577 ; milk, 8741 b ; test, 4.1; fat, 35.971 b. Highest herd 1 , of 64 cows, average?! 44.871 b fat: highest cow, 721 b. Waitakarurii. —Cows, 351; milk, 9421 b; test, 3.8; fat, 36.331 b. Highest herd, of 28 cows, averaged "44.821 b highest cow, 281 b fait
