On account of the racejs, at Thames to-mornow the Hauraki Plains cricket matches have been postponed. The tennis competitions, are due to recommence on Saturday, 19th inst.

The gem merchants who threaded the pejarls, admitted that it had taken them 20 yeprs to complete the collection. They should be fully compensated if they get a quarter of a million for the string.
