ENTERTAINMENTS.

AURORA THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT AND TO-MORROW NIGHT THE GAUCHO. Saints and cutthroats, shir.nes and robbers’ lairs, are the fiercely contrasting motifs, of Douglas Fairbanks as The Gaucho. How Doug, came to impersonate another robber, chief, this time a super-brigand, is nqw revealed. The story deals with a beautiful shrine city, whose wealth is coveted by both the bandit chief and a scheming dictator. The shrine idea came to Fairbanks upon the occasion of his visit to, Lourdes, France, where many afflicted persons seek a cur,e at the cathedral altar. There Doug, saw apparent miracles of faith-healing. The marvellous urge and influence of the place was unforgettable, and he realised the dramatic possibilities of the theme.
