WAITAKARURU STOCK SALE. Probably it was on account, of ithe very high. prices which prevailed at Messrs A. Bucklaiijd and Sons’ August sale at 'Waitakar.uru tifat there was a , full yarding offered on Friday last. The sale wag another successful one, as dairy co-ws apd heifers jvere. in good demand, and beef was; also in ke.eii request. Prices realised were, aS follows : Best dairy c.owsi, £ll to £l3 10s; good cows, £9 10s to £10 ! 10s, inferior and backward £6 10s to £8 15s ; good quality dairy heifers at. profit, £ll 15s to £l5 10s; medium quality jjwjlairy heifers, £8 15s to £lo,.others £5 ■ J 10 i a .to £7 10s ; hea.vy young beef cows • and heifers, £9 to £lO 17s 6d, light tn medium, £7 to £8 7|S 6d; old cows, £6 tcj £6 15s; store ajnd boner cowsi, £4 , 15s. to £s' 15s for best, a nd from £3 7s 6d for others, whila aged and inferior, qualities brought from 32s upward. Good herd bulls sold at from 10%gns tai 13'%gnts., and lower, quality from 7%gns. Heavy potting bulls £6 Sis to £8 ss, and light potting bulls from £4 10a *o £5 10s. Some pens of medium quality yearling Jersey heifers sold 4 at from £4 ito £4 10s, while pens of younger and ower ccndlitioned eyarling Jersey heifers went from £3 to £3 15b-
