' A vote on the question of whether ■the public would build was nqt supported, and by a unanimous vote Mr. Innis was. asked to - build a hall as soon as possible. This he agreed to do, and mentioned tha.t he proposed to utilise a site between the butcher’s; shop and the hotcd. On the motion of M. Thompson, seconded by Mr D. Shilton, it was decided that a public meeting be held ■ next Saturday evening .to, discuss the position in regard to the public hall section, publicly-owned piano., and cash in hand, .apd that the trustees of these funds be asked to attend and report.
