PARLIAMENTARY.
MINES COMMITTEE. MR. SAMUEL ELECTED CHAIRMAN. A tribute to the popularity and efficiency of Mr A. M. Samuel, member for Ohin.emuri, in his first term of Parliamentary life is the fact that at the meeting of the Mines Committee of the House of Representatives he was electeld chairman. The vote was unanimous. For a number of years the position was held by Mr, T. W. Rhodes (Thames), who has ’ffift f° r Canada with the Parliamentary delegation.
Since his election three years ago Mr Samuel has paid much attention to mining matters.
