DISTRICT NEWS.
TURUA. VALEDICTORY. Me H. Owens, manager of the N.2. Co-operativei Dairy Company’s Huitau Road cheese factory, who has been transferred t’o the company’s Aka Aka factory, was the guest of tire suppliers and members of the Turua Concert Party at a farewell qanee in the Turua Building,s last Friday evening. Musical items were contributed by Messis A. 'H. Sutton; A. Walker, and F. H. M. Shepherd, and the dance music was supplied by Mr.s Mules’ orchestra.
A presentation of a wallet and a cheque' was, made by Mr F. Stephens, who spoke of the good feeling which had always existed between suppliers and the, factory under Mr. Owens’ management. Other speakers e; logised Ml-’ Owens’ work in tihe concert party and in sport.
