THE NGATEA SUPPLIERS. ANNUAL MEETING. Ngatea suppliers of the N.Z. Cooperative Dairy Co. were pleased to renew acquaintances with Mr, H. E. Harvey, late manager of the Ngatea butter, factory, who in his new capacity of acting-general manager of the company was the principal speaker at the-annual meeting in the Nga,tea centre last evening. Fifty suppliers were present, and Mr W. E. Hale, local director, presided. Mr Dynes Fulton, chairman of directors of the company, and who is also a member- of the Control Board and a director of Amalgamated Dairies, was present at the meeting.

Mr Harvey dealt at length ,with the year’s operations of the company in an able and interesting manner. Mr Dynes Fulton also addressed the suppliers on policy matters and matters in connection with the Control Board and 1 Amalgamated Dairies. He also explained the company’s co-op-eration in the Intermediate Rural Credits scheme. THE NGATEA FACTORY. Dealing with the Ngatea factory i’n particular., Mr W. E. Hale stated that in the past yea.r 1785 tons, of butter had been manufactured! in comparison with 1753 tons’for the previous season. The percentage of finest grade cream was 91.258 for the 1.Q27-28 season, as compared with 91.205 for the 1926-27 season. THE DAVIES CUP. Mr Hale reported that the cup donated some years ago by Mr. R- L. Davies, of Kerepeeli'i, for annual competition among {the various cartage routes, in the matter of supplying superfine cream had in the past season, been won by the Patetonga North suppliers. Of the total amount of cream supplied by these settlers 97-36 per cent, was graded superfine. Orchard East Road, with 95.35 per cent., was second, and Patetonga Tramline, with 95 per cent., was third l . COMMITTEES. The following cartage committees were appointed:— Ngatea : Messrs J.
