The military training year has just finished and the annual posting completed at Paeroa. Certain modifications in connection w>it.h training have been instituted and will come into force almost immediately. No boy will become a cadet until lie has attained his fifteenth year, but this will not absolve him from registering as soon as he leaves school. Territorials in their first year will not now go into camp, but will be called upon to perform obligatory training in drill hall centres. The standard of medical fitness has also been raised.
