ELECTION OF OFFICERS.

The semi-annual election of officers of the Star of Paeroa Lodge of Druids tcok place on Monday eventing last. About fifty members attended, and keen interest was taken fa the contested positions for chairs in the Lodge. Bro. W. Gerrand was unanimously re-elected as Arch Druid, and, together with those elected to the other offices, will be installed a.t the next meeting by Bi®. H. Gallagher, D.P. One new member was duly initiated with druidic fire and enthusiasm, and a number of nominations for membership were received.. Opportunity was taken by the officers to reveal many of the ramifica,tions of the rules bearing on the benefits of membership. Replies to questions concerning hospital, fund rules were ably tendered by the secretary. The presence at the meeting of many of the old stalwarts shewed the parental interest and fellowship which is a distinctive mark of the Druidic Order. ODDFELLOWSHIP. QUARTERLY MEETING AT PAEROA. The quarterly mee.ting of the Loyal Jubilee Lodge, of Oddfellows, paeroa, was helil on Tuesday evening last. The N.G, Sister Ethel Freeman, presided over, a good attendance of members. With her officers, the N.G. initiated an welcomed five ne,w mem. bers tb the Order. The election of officers resulted as follows: —

A conference called’ i>y Jubilee Lodge to discus® hospital contributiOius and benefits, .and also the, practicability of establishing a Past Grand’s Lodge in this distritt, will be attended' by delegates from Loyal Ka.rangahake, Kerepeehi, Netherton, and Jubilee Lodges.
