MAN’S LEG BROKEN.

RESULT OF MOTOR ACCIDENT. COLLISION WITH A LORRY. A collision took place on. Puke Road, Paeroa, shortly after 5 o’clock on Wednesday night, and a. youpg man, Mr Charles Glover, sustained a compound fracture of the right legit .appears tha.t Mr, Glover, who is. employed by the. Public Works Department, was returning to; town from the Puke on a motor-cycle. Just before he reached the intersection: of Hill Street a heavy motor lorry d'riven by Mr T. W,atts, carrier, Turua, swung round the corner into Puke Road. The turn was taken rather sharply, and before the motor-cyclist could pull up he crashed into tha right-hand side mudguard with terrific force, the impact causing the injury mentioned. The services of Dr. W. W. Little were- requisitioned, and after surgical treatment the sufferer was placed «in a motor-car and driven to the Thames Hospital. The motor-cycle suffered extensive damage to the frame and front wheel. The full extent of the damage done to the motor lorry was a benlt mudguard.
