AURORA THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT. SHIPWRECKED. One of the most thrilling photoplays is “Shipwrecked,” to bo shown tonight. The scenes are largely laid on the .high seas during one of the most tremendous hurricanes ever pictured, and on an island in the tropics. The story is dramafc, and there are genuine thrills in every scene. SATURDAY NIGHT. THE EXQUISITE SINNER. A young French artist who is chafing under the bonds of convention is the central figure of “The Exquisite Sinner,” to be shown to-morrow night. This picture is an adaptat'on, of Alden Brook’s novel, “Escape.” and is, portrayed by a talented cast including Conrad Nagel as th c Frenchman, and Renee Adoree, as the Gipsy. HELL-BENT FER HEAVEN. He was the kind of war hero who used his medal for a button ; a gay, daredevil youngtser to whom life was a joke. She was a lovely, brave mountain girl who took sides against her folk for love of him. Between them came the gentle, schem’ng, and jealous hired mam a soft-mouthed fanatic with the conviction that lie was specially appointed to punish those who did not belie,ve in his camp-meeting religion.. These, a<re characters Ip “Hell-bent Fer Heaven.” which is also to be screened to-morrow night. TURUA PICTURES. MISMATES Sparkling with comedy and throbbing with thrills “ Hands Across the Border,” one of Fred Thompson’s most reent pictures, is to be shown at the Turua Hall on Saturday. The picture, is heralded by critics as the best thing the most popular western star has done, and that it will leave the public limp with, laughter. MISMATES. On Tuesday next .wil’l be' shown “ Mismatcs,” another successful stage play which has boon transferred, to the screen. This play is admirably fited for the screen, and is filled with stirring situations, brilliant spectacle and has a beautiful and dramatic story.
